English Language Learners

English language learners (ELL) are students whose native language is not English. Many live in a non-English speaking household and need adaptations in their learning to be successful. 

Millridge Elementary provides an all-day kindergarten program were all students are serviced. We have a half-time ELL tutor available to this population of students as well as three full time Reading Specialist Teachers. Students are serviced by these specialist through pull out instruction times. I strive to adapt lessons in all content areas to better serve this population.
