Welcome to our classroom site! I am Alexa Miller and I will be your child's kindergarten teacher for the upcoming school year. I am excited to embark on this journey with your child, as they will be making great strides this year in their educational careers. My philosophy is to offer multimodal learning that allows students to explore the curriculum through a balance of digital and non-digital tools. I believe in offering students a hands on approach to learning, where they can be in control of the construction of their knowledge. I believe in building well rounded students, where they will learn skills associated with reading, writing, math, social studies, science, speaking, and listening. They will also learn how to collaborate with grade level peers to build social interactions they can take with them to each grade level.  Students have a right to the education that they deserve as 21st century students and I will strive to remain updated on research based studies to provide students with the best education  possible. My goal is that your child will come out of kindergarten with the skills and tools necessary that will allow them to be curious, life long learners.
