Digital Formative Assessments 

On this page, you will learn about ways that I track your child's progress through digital assessment tools. 

Why use Digital Formative Assessment Tools?

I use digital assessment tools with your child for the following reasons:

  • It gives me a better picture of what your child knows and doesn't know.

  • I can provide learning that is          individualized for your child.

Digital Assessment Tool #1: Kahoot!

Kahoot is a free game-based digital assessment tool. With Kahoot, students are completing a quiz in which they feel they are playing a game. Students use a digital device to sign up to the quiz in order to track results. Results are given immediately after each quiz, in which I can see how each student performed with each question. With this tool, I can use it to easily gear, change or modify instruction to meet the learning demands of all my students.

Digital Assessment Tool #1: Kahoot!

Seesaw is an online digital journal where students can post work that they have completed in class. Each student has a journal and as a parent, you can have access to your child's journal. I use this as a digital assessment tool because students can upload work to their journal and it will allow you, as well as myself, to see how your child is doing with the curriculum. Their uploaded work will show me what they are understanding and what they are not understanding to better meet their learning needs.
